Kanade Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Discord bot Kanade ("the bot", "the service"). By using the bot or joining the game with /start, you accept these terms. How your personal data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Kanade is a free music discovery and card collecting game that turns songs played on Spotify in Discord servers into collectible cards. Players earn the in-game currency Plak by listening and completing daily quests, open music boxes and complete album sets.
Kanade is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or approved by Discord Inc. or Spotify AB. Discord, Spotify and all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
The bot processes your message content only to detect commands and does not store it.
2. In-game items
- Plak, Shards, boxes and cards have no real-money value.
- They cannot be bought with real money, sold, transferred to another user or traded for anything of value.
- In-game items are not your property; they are a limited right to use the service.
- If the service ends or your account is reset under these terms, no compensation is paid for in-game items.
3. Changes to rates and the economy
Box rates, reward amounts, prices and other game settings may be changed to keep the game balanced. Significant changes are announced. The current box rates and pity counters are always shown by the /box rates command. The tier a card had when it was minted never changes.
4. Prohibited behaviour and sanctions
The following are prohibited:
- using more than one account (alt accounts) to gain extra rewards or leaderboard advantages,
- using commands through automation, bots or scripts, or producing fake listening (for example muted around-the-clock playback or track-skipping programs),
- exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities; you are expected to report a bug you notice instead of using it,
- using the bot to harass others, spam or break Discord's rules.
If these rules are broken, game progress may be partly or fully reset, access to certain features may be restricted, or the user may be banned from the service, without prior warning.
5. Content and intellectual property
Song titles, artist and album information and album cover images belong to their rights holders. Kanade shows them only as part of the game, for promotion and discovery. Card images generated by the bot are for personal, non-commercial sharing and may not be used commercially.
If you are a rights holder and do not want some content to be shown, write to kanadebot@outlook.com and it will be removed.
6. Limitation of liability
The service is provided free of charge "as is" and "as available". It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, failures or problems caused by Discord or Spotify; listening rewards may not be earned during such times.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is accepted for indirect damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service, or for the loss of game progress or in-game items. Liability for intent or gross negligence remains unaffected.
7. Deleting your account and data, ending the service
You may stop playing at any time and delete all of your game data with /privacy delete-my-data. Deleted data cannot be restored.
The service may be ended in whole or in part with prior notice, or without notice where necessary. Access may be terminated for users who violate these terms.
8. Provider
The service is provided free of charge by Revan Mustafayev, an individual developer living in Azerbaijan, and runs on a server in Azerbaijan.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The courts of Baku have jurisdiction over disputes. This choice does not remove the mandatory rights that the law of your country (for example, Türkiye) grants to consumers, including the right to apply to consumer arbitration committees or courts.
10. Changes and contact
